Indeed it is and it's the place we didn't get to visit because of storms in St Petes, we couldn't set sail in time but the ship's photographer agreed to sell me an unlocked CD with the previous years pics of Helsinki on it

Glad you made it back Jill. We are weighing anchor in 15 minutes time as Mob wants an early night and will be up early tomorrow to the new port for him - Helsinki. It's also 60's night so he will be getting his flares out. I understand he's into Bay City Rollers tonight.

Sadly I haven’t been to Helsinki cos the KGB wouldn’t let us out of St Petes, some yarn about a violent storm or some such. I have however posted pics of the ‘ Rock Church ‘ these being part of an unlocked CD set kindly sold to me on Artemis that had been taken by P&O’s photographic team. I could, if required, also post scenes of the Market and Senate Square etc.

We love Helsinki - catch the shuttle into the centre and walk through the park down to the port where there is always a very good market selling food and local crafts.

Up at the crack of dawn in St Petes for a 07:45 start, to avoid the traffic and mozzies, for the Peterhof Palace albeit it was to rain the whole time :(

Back to the ship for lunch plus a dry set of clothes and then off again in the afternoon for an orientation tour. Got out of the coach just once for a walk-a-bout to coincide with a wedding in progress but then we stayed put because it was absolutely chucking it down, we were however able to see many of the historical places through the very wet coach windows.

Not to worry. Your out house was locked so I'd be careful where you tread round the back.

Tomorrow we are scheduled for Riga and Klaipeda. I have been to neither of these places so hopefully someone will have been there and have pictures to share.
