2015 Christmas Cruise on Britannia
My son has just rung to ask if I am interested in a cruise on Britannia at Christmas 2015 - am I heck I have always fancied a Christmas cruise and if it is with my family it would be perfect so watch this space. I guess registering an interest is the next step

We have been doing Christmas cruises for the last 25 years Jan, you will have a fantastic time, there is nothing like basking in the hot Caribbean sunshine while everyone at home is freezing and having someone else do all the hard work
I can see this one being popular so register and book asap.

Re: 2015 Christmas Cruise on Britannia
It wasn't until my son looked at the new brochure that he realised that P&O are quoting family room prices as opposed to individual fares and he feels that they are good value compared with 14 nights in say the Med. £5,000 +for 4 in an inside cabin at Christmas in the Caribbean doesn't seem too bad
As I haven't received the new brochure yet I've only looked online and will get my TA to do some comparisons - I imagine all the single cabins have already been snapped up although yet again don't think they are good value - "single" means something different to P&O when it comes to fares
This cruise fits perfectly into the school holiday slot so I do hope we'll be successful

Sounds great Jan.
On an Xmas cruise, is there still somewhere for everyone to go and fall asleep in front of the telly after dinner?

Re: 2015 Christmas Cruise on Britannia
Well I've asked my TA to book me a balcony cabin - there aren't any outside on Britannia - which I know with the single supplement will probably be zillions but I've decided life is too short - it will be pretty special as it's Christmas and I'll have a sofa to slump on after all the nosh though whether I'll get any sleep very much depends on my granddaughters What the hell it's only moneyDennis The Menace wrote:Sounds great Jan.

I think however, that you still need an elderly relative breaking wind on the other end of that sofa to make it an authentic Xmas

Hi Jan, go for it, we may be on that one as well ... we are just trying to sort out our holidays for next year at the minute.
The last time we did a Christmas cruise it was a bit special so I would recommend it to anyone.

Well I've booked my cabin today as have my son Matthew's in laws as we had priority booking. Really anxious now until Matthew's cabin is booked tomorrow. We hadn't pre-registered as it was a last minute thing and so fingers and toes crossed

Is there an application fee to join your family Jan? Or just a form to fill in? I take it the junior members are footing the bill?

Re: 2015 Christmas Cruise on Britannia
Well after an extremely stressful morning I can report that we are all going on the Christmas cruise. It was so easy yesterday to book for myself and the in laws but today as I'm sure everyone is aware P&O have had serious problems with their systems.
So son and one granddaughter in one cabin and daughter in law and other granddaughter in the other one - cabin in between but can't see this being a problem. I can see bank of grandparents helping out as they had hoped to get a much cheaper cabin but beggars can't be choosers and I'm just so thankful we can at least all celebrate together
