Chhatra Sagar - Day 1

#1

Post by david63 »

Chhatra Sagar is a man-made location which in the nineteenth century was created by a powerful noble of the desert by building a dam on a stream which ran through his land to create a lake which would provide irrigation for the farmers in the area.

Today this is a small luxury tented camp site situated on the dam. The whole place just has an air of peace and calm about it and is the ideal
place to come to “chillax” after spending the better part of two weeks getting up at “silly o’clock” to go chasing around looking at the sights that we have come to see.

The most strenuous thing that we have done today is to go on a two hour bird watching walk along one of the nature trails – oh and have dinner of course.

Sounds the ideal place to 'chill' I think after two hectic weeks you are probably ready to re-charge your batteries and you will no doubt be getting up at silly o'clock again so make the most of it.

Really enjoying your blog
