Help Needed Please!!

#1

Post by ChrisB »

We will be on our second Princess cruise in May, sailing from Southampton. As we are in the Caribbean tier with P & O that will automatically give us Elite status on Princess. One Question! Do Princess have the emabarkation lounge arrangement on their ships as P & O do? We do quite enjoy having our lunch and a glass or two at the expense of the cruise company ( I suppose over the years we have paid for it) Thank you in advance for any help.
Regards
Chris

We have always boarded straight away with Princess, once a little after 11am. There was no embarkation lounge then, but cabins were ready. I see to remember the main restaurant being open.

Enjoy all your Elite Captains Circle benefits. They are so superior to even P&O's Baltic offer. BTW we always managed to arrange for the mini bar contents to be changed to meet our tastes.

And don't forget the free laundry, dry cleaning and free internet. Brilliant!! We are looking forward going on Island Princess from Vancouver through the Panama Canal in September. Enjoy your cruise. Doreen

Gill, Ray and Doreen, Thank you for all your information. We will certainly use the laundry service and the free internet. We will also get the mini bar contents changed as we only drink wine.

We have cruised around 25 times with P & O but on our last cruise we decided to jump ship. We spent so little time in each port and the ship was going so slow that we must have spent 11 of the 17 days at sea. The cruise was out to Venice. We never spent that much time at sea when we have sailed from Southampton to the Caribbean and back.

We have also booked Celebrity Eclipse for September. Looking forward to that cruise too.

Thanks again for you help.
Regards
Chris
