I'm finding most of the characters ludicrous, and the situations they put them in are boring.

It could have been an interesting and entertaining show .... but it isn't.

I think I prefer the Fred Olsen series !

Any PR department that really believed this was going to be a "documentary" and good publicity probably needs a good clear out.

These programmes are almost invariably designed to be "entertainment" rather than anything too close to the truth. Would definitely be boring if they spent four hours watching us enjoying our cruise!

I thought last night was just boring - as for Dan the Deputy Cruise Director, well just don't let him move to P&O!

Same with Brett, the head chef.

At least the vet wasn't on last time!

it does seem to be getting plenty of social media coverage, so perhaps it is us who "don't get it"
after the belly flop contest and the mister lovely legs competition, Lady Dark commented that they had ruined a lovely ship and no, we are not going on it ....ever

it is almost a series of comedy sketches and as for the new quiz, it was trialled months before the programme on a med cruise

I have a great dislike for the Butlins at sea comments, as I feel it is lazy and trite to use it , however this is as close as it gets, having been to Butlins in a former life, this is close ...too close

ps Cheers Merv for your rather nice comment

Don't lots of ships have deck games...which taken out of context and filmed could look like Butlins.
Many have a ceremony crossing the equator ...P&O push the Captain in the pool !

Plus...you don't have to attend these events...so why would seeing people playing Bingo or roulette line dancing...doing a quiz...or deck games...put you off a cruise ?

The only deck games I've seen on P&O/Cunard are quoits and shuffleboard - but belly flop competitions? Knobbly knees (sexy legs, I think they called it) - NO.

Agreed, you don't have to go to these things, but if that's the sort of activity they provide, I have to wonder at the standard of the rest of it.

My husband has uttered the words 'We are never going on that ship' at least five times during tonight's episode of The Cruise Ship. I distinctly got the feeling we won't be booking The Royal Princess!!!

Well I thought it was a very good and exciting and thought provoking bit of television.

Sorry that was the advert in the middle.

Would puerile be a good word for it.

I think it is getting worse.

I recorded it so that I could skip through it. I found my recorder got stuck in the gym and kept re winding and playing the same bit over and over again. Phew what a body Dirk has.

Other than that bit it was rubbish. What's with the hats? I thought it was Cunard with hats not Princess. Got to say though that Atrium looks fab u lous.

Did I mention Dirks body. Phew!

I agree it was better than the previous two - still not a good showcase for Princess, though.

I didn't get all this driving round in the buggy.

Everyone else managed to get where they needed to quite easily it would appear. Why did those two blokes have to 'get lost' in the buggy. It made them look ridiculous!

surely everyone featured must be regretting it by now
