it’s more a case of having large numbers in a waiting room
They could quite easily control it - one out, one in. The problem comes when the whole family turn up when one of them has an ingrowing toenail!

Appointments never run on time, and for those who have walked to the surgery it won’t be much fun standing outside in all weathers waiting your turn, especially if your feeling unwell.

In our surgery we park up outside and the receptionist calls us in. The GP said that may continue even after COVID (probably more hygienic rather than having someone cough and splutter all over you as you wait for some minor test).

There's a sizeable car park at our out in the sticks village type surgery, the plan is ...

Ideally arrive 5 minutes early and then wait outside at the appointed time. Get called in via a side entrance to see the doctor else go in a different side entrance to get pills. Nobody waits inside the surgery for anything but there is a one at a time canopy to stand under if needs be. Worked perfectly for Mobietta on Wednesday.

Some sign of movement then Ken

Got the good lady to a specialist today and he was saying how bad the appointments were at the minute for the NHS. In his department he was saying that
- 'red-flag' meant 6-12 months
- 'urgent' meant within 3-4 years
- 'routine' basically means 'never'

I think it varies from hospital to hospital and what specialist you need to see.

Strang really when having a checkup at the dentist he is in your face and the same can be said at the opticians. But the doctor who more than not has at least a metre or more between you find it harder to see patients face to face.
I have had a face to face with the doctor, but it does take the patients of a Saint to get past the receptionist. Likewise you wait in the car park until five minutes before the appointment time.
Don't worry, be happy

That would be about 45 minutes before you get to see the doctor then :)
