No, we’re not.
It’s been such a long time since we’ve been able to see the kids, that there will be numerous short breaks back up to Kent.
Another grand daughter due in May 😁

We have 2022 booked but will definitely take a rain check on that as well.
If it’s not the full cruise experience, we’ll pass.
Empty vessels .. and all that

Same here, Stephen.
I must admit I do like the sense of geography you get on a cruise when close coasting. I remember doing a week’s cruise on Oriana which had Dublin as its first port and it was most enjoyable sailing around Lands End & Lizard point. Another notable voyage was our last voyage on Oriana (Sept 2017?) when the tides etc must have been favourable and the Capt. took a sharp right coming out of the Southampton Water and headed along the north coast of IoW and past the Needles later on.
We’ve been a few cruises around Scotland’s west coast but that has been on a much smaller vessel. The views are spectacular but larger ships wouldn’t be able to make those passages.
I guess since the Costa disaster close coasting has been put ‘even further on the back burner’.
Added to that the lack of deck games, the limited dancing, dining ‘à deux’ only, and possibly the difficulties involved in ‘just chewing the fat’ with other passengers on deck or generally around the ship ...I don’t think we will be cruising with P&O this year.

Yes, a 4 night one with Cunard in July - totally scenic. Plus we’re doing two 6 nighters calling at 2 UK ports each - one with Princess in September and one with Celebrity in August.

Not for us this year but we do have a Cunard QV British Isles cruise, with ports, next year. Hopefully the full experience by then.

Overall 2022 is looking a bit bonkers. As well as our regular timeshare visits to Madeira it's crammed full of things postponed from 2020 and 2021.
We'll hardly be home.

Our first this year after several cancellations will be a three night break in Yorkshire.

Don't tell Towny. I'd hate him to spend too much preparing to welcome us.

We've rebooked with FO sailing from Liverpool for 5nights at the end of August NO Scottish ports because of the nippy one!

We also have two holiday cottages booked Nairn in June and Beadnell in September we really like both those places as they have lovely beaches and good walks for our dog :)

If I'm honest I was more worried abut you manning the barricades!

If you intend spending money in Yorkshire, then there will be no barricades.
