We’re extending our pause with all sailings cancelled until early 2021

Post by Official Autopost »

With evolving restrictions on travel from the UK unfortunately it is necessary to extend our current pause until the beginning of next year.

We have cancelled all Caribbean cruises until the end of January 2021 as well as all cruises from and to Southampton until February with the exception of Arcadia and Aurora, which have already been cancelled through to the end of their spring world cruises. Further details of the specific sailings and dates are highlighted on our website www.pocruises.com

These further cancellations vary according to ship and itinerary. We’ve also taken into account complexity and length of itineraries, advice and guidance regarding ports of call and current air availability for fly-cruises. We are so sorry for the disappointment this will cause.

Here’s P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow with an update:

I think that in all realism that means that the earliest we will see cruising starting will be in the second or third quarters of 2021. The January date is most likely a 'let's see if the predicted winter flair up of COVID arrives' ... if it does this date will be extended well into next year.

Who would have thought at the start of this year that the holiday we all love would be literally wiped out in less than 12 weeks.

Most of these have now gone there is still speculation about up to 3 others, however it is assumed these are likely be from Carnival or Costa lines.

It is on my newsfeed dated 17/09 so I really hope you and towny are right and it isn't 'another 18 ships'.

Hi Ken

My 'Old News' comment was related to the OP. I posted about this yesterday.

Sorry for any confusion

It appears that 2 of the 18 are Oceana's sisters, Sun and Sea Princess, the Original Adonia, the former is being sold to Japans Peace Boat, the latter no news yet.
