We’re proud to be supporting UKHarvest – a charity that distributes surplus food from businesses to charities, homeless centres, and refugee and youth centres. So far, 8.5 tonnes of fruit and vegetables from Ventura have been distributed to groups across Bognor Regis, Portsmouth, Worthing, Brighton, plus food banks in Eastbourne, Hastings, Crawley, Croydon and Southampton.

Very laudable gesture but it does beg the question why have they got so much surplus food when there is only a handful of crew onboard - at the end of the day it will be passengers who will be paying for it, one way or another.

According to the Dorset Echo ... Ventura is anchored in Weymouth Bay, there being no room at Southampton.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
