Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
How is that I never seem to have problems with Amazon, or indeed most other on line retailers, I cannot remember when I last had any issue worth complaining about, touch wood!

All good here too. If anything the goods nearly always arrive earlier than stated on the invoice.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
My problem was interesting. We were away when a delivery was expected. We left instructions in the appropriate place on our account for it to be left in our porch and asked our neighbours to look out for it.
Then we got an email from Amazon to say it had been delivered to a "neighbour" at an address a hundred yards from our house and to a person we've never heard of and definitely didn't live at that address. So I got on the phone to them and they denied I had left the porch delivery instruction.
Then they suggested I go to the "neighbour" to ask if they'd got it. I pointed out that the person they claimed to have delivered it do did not live at the address stated, or indeed in our road, and in any case I was 100 miles away.
They then agreed to dispatch a replacement. At that point our actual neighbour messaged us to say the parcel had been delivered to our porch and they had collected it as requested. So I told the Amazon bod that clearly their courier was a numpty and that we had traced our parcel and didn't need a replacement.
So guess what was delivered next day? EBay anyone?

If they're that thick Merv keep the replacement as well. The spare blow up doll might come in handy at one of your 'parties'

It was only books actually - however the thought of Oxfam receiving a spare blow up doll has made my day!

You wouldn't be the first if you took yours in - here's a post from the Oxfam site:
"I like Oxfam. however once my mum saw a blow up doll & nude playing cards being sold in there! she went in the next day & they had gone- so either they were removed or snapped up!!"

We're about to be kicked off our allotment for not "reinstating" a path that has not been there for at least 12 years !
