Hey don't come on here spreading your germs, we start our 5 week cruise next Monday, and I don't want your flu.

Best keep away from your iPad or whatever you use John to be on the safe side. Mind you norovirus is probably waiting with your name on it.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
Deffo flu, and still recovering. The worst bit is all the sweating when asleep, when you can sleep that is, and waking soaked with a hell of a headache.
So today I've got up and am slobbering down stairs in the arm chair while my carer who has now deserted me goes back to work to keep me in the way I have become accustomed
No fun I can tell you.

You have my sympathy. I've only had proper flu two or three times and it's truly horrible.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
Thanks Merv. I hear people say I've had the flue when clearly all they've had is a cold. You certainly know the difference.
Feeling allot better although still waking in the night several times in a sweat which is the horrible bit and I'll be glad when it stops.
Another day of doing very little, well those are the instruction of Mrs S, so who am I to argue.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
I had the same flu jab as everyone else, whether that gave me protection against Aussie flu I don't know. If it was supposed too then it didn't work. I said to Mrs S who is a nurse, why the hell have I got the flu when I had the jab back in September. She said it's because there are various strains of flu, and although the vaccination will prevent flu there is no gaurentee that you won't still get it.
It's always a gamble anyway that the vaccination will work. I said I won't bother this year, but she said once you start having them you should keep having them. Who am I to argue.

Maybe you had the Japanese strain that's supposed to be going the rounds as well!!
I didn't get the flu jab I am too young I know that I could go somewhere and pay for it but didn't want to start having one if in theory I shouldn't need it
