As I have mentioned rained overnight and a light shower at lunch time. We are forecast for rain but not arrived yet πŸ˜ƒ

Had a great family day yesterday. The weather was kind to us for most of the day, but it was very windy and got quite cool early evening.

Raining steadily here this morning it's much cooler, and I notice the barometer has dropped significantly.

Our travel insurance is due (next month) have been looking at quotes on line, my goodness some of them are eye watering!!
Looks like renewing with "Insure and Go" is the best price......

Have you tried the Halifax, very competitive. You will need to have an account though.

We don't have an account with Halifax!
I am fed up looking at internet sites unless my husband takes over it shall be the ISG renewal. Looking at the others i.e. Holiday Extras, P.O. etc they were more expensive for us.

I certainly would never recommend Halifax for anything, my experience with them in recent years with savings accounts has been dire.

We would recommend Halifax, they were the only Company to give us well priced House Insurance cover for one's second empty house over a considerable period of time. There were conditions of course but the Company we previously used for nearly 30 years without making a major claim said ' NON '.

When we were moving to Scotland we were selling in Bedford so had two different sets of Law's. We decided to make sure we had a space between them, just as well as the Bedford one fell through on the day contracts were due to be signed. The buyers had put in offers on different houses!! Using different agents, no-one knew😀😱 luckily we resold quickly. Good luck reselling yours.

Very worrying, we were able to maneuver round that one but if and or when we move again we will deffo not buy a thing until we have the readies tucked up in the Bank from the proceeds of the sale of our recently departed home.

In our case the buyer was as gutted as we were, it was their buyer that pulled out due to a adverse Surveyors report on their property.

I see the bank of England has raised the interest rate. About time too. Borrowers have had it good for far too long. Time us savers had a bit of the cake. Mind you, I expect it'll take forever and day before we see any of it. And even then I don't suppose I'll be trundling down to the Bentley showroom any time soon, unless it's to wash the windows :D

Just been cutting my "grass" surprised how much it has grown since that heavy rain we experienced here but it still looks awful - so patchy - oh well I'm sure it will grow back one day

Well the weather here has changed. We have had showers and sunshine still quite humid at times but it's much cooler over night I'm glad to say :)
Since the rain my bedding plants have come on a treat! bushed up and flowering nicely. The bad news for us is we have a week of rain forecast but on the plus side they usually get it wrong ;)

Changed thin bed quilt for thicker one yesterday.

Had a nice BBQ of corn on the cob, ribs cooked in Hoisin sauce along with bread and oils a little earlier.

Rain overnight and most of tomorrow.

Think that covers it.
