She's not getting her hands on my chopper.

Two one ton bags of logs sitting in the garage. I'm hoping my glasses will see me through the winter though.

I've got to shift the remaining logs to create space for the 4 cu mtrs that I am about to order … all ash ( or soon will be ).

Two year old dry hardwoods burnt in a well maintained Multifuel Burner is a far lot cleaner than folks oop Norf who burn cones and damp twigs in t' grate t' save a few bob …. just saying ;)

Not so John, at least not modern log burners.

We are a tad more Traditional ... but also ' A ' rated and Defra approved :clap:

ps … we did not go for the ' with boiler 'option.

That info could well be proved wrong soon, remember how Gordon told us diesel was good for the environment. Extra sweaters are the only guaranteed environmentally friendly way to keep warm.

Slightly related I read recently about the appalling conditions endured by people mining the cadmium, and the environmental damage caused by mining the lithium, required batteries for "green" electric cars. The enthusiasts never mention that.

Yes you do do get warmer weather in the South, I wonder if there is a case for higher pensions and lower taxes for Northerners, to compensate for this?

There must be a cold draught blowing round the Hornets at present, unless your new/old manager can work miracles. Our new men apparently are proven miracle workers, we shall both see this weekend.
