Booked this cruise in Nov 2019 and still couldn't get a stern balcony cabin. Must be popular!

We wouldn't want to be that far back but they are favourites of those with better sea legs than us.

It's the glorious view of the wake that gets me, and the balconies tend to be more spacious

Spot on bassman.
We love em 👍
Always first choice if available.

We did one cruise on cabin allocated (saver) and got in aft balcony on Azura.
Couldn’t believe my luck

I would think they're fine if your high enough up otherwise you must get a fair bit if noise from the propeller chucking it out and the wake.

You are correct there Stephen. We had a stern cabin on Arcadia, and when at sea it is ever present.
Don't worry, be happy

Little did I think when I booked, that this could be my next cruise. I've all but abandoned any thoughts of going to the Baltic in July this year, as I can't see any chance of sailing, despite the forced optimism of the cruise lines. I know that boundaries (ie, dates) must be set, but I can see them continuously being slipped downstream for the foreseeable future. A tried and tested vaccination will be the gamechanger!

I think you're right. It'll be the only thing that makes foreign travel insurance viable and affordable again.
