Re: Aurora R303
Does anyone have any idea or opinions on the select dining options on Aurora?
Is the MDR the best place for breakfast?
Thanks

Depends what you want. I do not enjoy the buffets so do not go there if there re other options. We found Cafe Borfdeaux suited us for breakfast but it is not a traditional breakfast. No toast. you can have fruit, a hot option of something like eggs benedict, or bacon roll, croissant and jam. The menu changes about every 3 days. I also enjoyed the MDR breakfast for a change of venue.
The beauty of cafe Bordeaux is that if you sleep in late and miss the MDR Cafe B serves breakfast until about 11am.
Hope you enjoy your cruise.

Re: Aurora R303
The buffet on Aurora is, was, a total shambles and we do not generally use the MDR for breakfast, nor indeed for lunch, so we used and enjoyed Cafe Bordeaux frequently.
In the evening Cafe Bordeaux will offer MPW inspired rotated Menus x 3 but the choice although acceptable is more gastro pub / bistro than fine dining as far as we are concerned. The Pennant Grill is another option, albeit al fresco, but this can be impacted by the smokers and the noise of the bar if you have a delicate disposition ... perfect for a fillet or T Bone steak etc but note that surcharges may apply to some choices.
We are on Aurora later in the year and will book both, at the price they represent good value for money and make a nice change from the MDR fare.
Click the link for Sample Menus but you may need to select ' View / Rotate view / Counterclockwise ' to allign them correctly.

Hi we are on this cruise as well.
We like Cafe Bordeaux for breakfast, we were on it last September, we used the buffet a few times and it wasn't too bad at all. We always managed to get a seat easily and no pushing or big queues.

The OrangUtangerie is ok if you can sit outside near the Pennant Bar.
