Stern Balcony Cabins .
Hi, Does anyone know what the Balcony Cabins at the stern on B deck are like.? and would you prefer to be on either side of the ship than overlooking the stern. ???

It's a very personal thing, but for many it's the best place on the ship. We prefer midships because Trish is not a great sailor. But actually the movement at the stern, while greater than midships, is less than near the bow. And the view over the wake is fab.
B is probably high enough too to avoid the worst of any noise when berthing, and well above the public decks and possible noise from there, the only other downsides I've heard of.

We have had aft facing cabins on both Arcadia and Azura, as well as on other cruise lines. We would ALWAYS chooose them if at all possible. Yes you get some wake noise, but the fabulous views and the peace from very few passing passengers more than compensates, and to be honest, we rather enjoy the sound of the wake.
Go for it.

There will be suites above and below you so apart from the discarded canapés it'll be a great place to be ... we love the wake so will book it, if available, for special occasion type cruises.
On Azura we had D715 which is a SDL balcony near to but not at the aft.

Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

As others have said, it is a personal thing.
Our last two cruises were in an aft cabin on D deck of Azura, and we wouldn't go there again. True, there is less passing footfall outside your door, but we've never really been disturbed by passing passengers. The balconies are wa-a-a-y deeper and the view is different (but sort of narrower and always receding) but there is far far less sun and one does feel as though one is sitting beside a mill race. The noise of the wake is always there and if you like a nice chat on your balcony, it means you have to raise your voice quite a bit, which we are not keen on. The feeling of solitude/isolation does not outweigh the disadvantages for us.
