Weirdest thing you have seen on a cruise ship
For me it was on our last trip on Brittania.
I had gone to the loos outside the Live lounge, since a show was about to start it was quite busy so there was a queue at each urinal. I finally made it to the front ... bear with me the story may not be going where you think it is. The tiles on the wall are actually mirrored and when I looked in them I noticed that the chap standing behind me in the queue, in full formal gear was adjusting his tie with both hands, but what surprised me the most was that he was well prepared with his John Thomas hanging out ready to go.

Re: Weirdest thing you have seen on a cruise ship
My favourite story, that I have recounted here before, was on the last day of a cruise on Arcadia when they were changing over the balcony furniture. All the chairs and stools had been piled up in the lift area on B-deck ready to take down to the service area, leaving little room to get in and out of the lifts. One of the lift doors opened and a feller in a wheelchair came out only to run smack into a pile of chairs. By the time he realised what was happening, the lift door had closed and he couldn't go forwards or backwards so he was stuck there making plaintive cries for help.
We did eventually manage to dig the poor chap out !

He must have previously been a boy scout still adhering to their motto. I suppose it also saved some timeKendhni wrote: ↑17 Nov 2017, 05:56For me it was on our last trip on Brittania.

Lost my cabin door key late evening . . . .
Our friendly Cabin Steward pop up with his master key which was fantastic as busting for a pee
Peed and washing my hands I realized I was in the wrong Cabin as the frilly knickers hanging on the washing line where not mine
Made a hasty exit

We saw someone at sea having a long (more than 20 mins) and expensive (at £1.50 a minute) mobile phone call that ended with the words "okay I'll meet you back at the cabin in half an hour"

That's why my 'phone goes in the safe as soon as we arrive - and stays there !

How lovely that would be, but when you have relative at home with long term illness, that NEED to be in contact, that isn’t possible.

Very true, I accept that there can be extenuating circumstances but my 'phone is not the main pivot in my life so I really only use it when I have to. You won't catch me walking into a lamppost in the street because I am tapping away at my 'phone !

I'm the same, only comes out when going ashore and to check once a day when on board. My husband doesn't take his phone out of the safe ever!! It's only used as back up in case mine is lost/damaged.
In fact hardly anyone knows his number they will phone the house or call me
