Lifts....

#1

Post by david63 »

Just read one of the best questions ever on Facecloth...

"Do the lifts go up and down or does one go up and one go down?"

Next question will be "Does the same ship bring you home that takes you out?"

I'm sure we can think up some more

A few weeks ago on another forum, someone complained that the English breakfast didn’t change for the entire cruise.

There’s a story I heard, but I doubt if it’s true.

Someone complained that the microwave in his cabin wasn’t working. They sent someone to the cabin, and it turned out that this bloke was trying to heat a cup of coffee in the safe!

A true story about a safe that my brother told me when they were in India, Gill.
They checked in to the hotel and were pleased with the overall standard.
He went to put their valuables in the safe as you would, when he realised that it wasn't secured down and anyone could walk away with it.

So, he picked it up and walked down to reception with it.

" There is a problem with the safe" he told the receptionist.
" What is the problem sir"
" It's in my hands" he said
" Sorry but I don't see what the problem is"
"Well, I've walked away with it"
" So what exactly is the problem? Do you have trouble opening it"
" I'm standing in front of you with the 'secure safe' in my arms and you cannot see any problem?"
"Oh ! I see. would you like it secured down?"
"Yes please, otherwise it's not much use"
" No problem sir, I'll send up maintenance"

Appartently no one else had noticed that it wasn't secured down.
Empty vessels .. and all that

As cruises start to build up again, it maybe a good time to remind some cruisers to run through the above, if they require clarification just ask, or any thing else they need answers to.

The most important lift is the one that takes you from the bow to the stern

Not a bad idea that, instead of outside water slides, they could install pod tubes to buzz you up down and along!!! :D

Weirdly a while back I had a dream with a lift that went horizontal as well as vertical. I should have made notes and applied for the patent.

Many years back on the CC site someone posted a tale of a woman who, on embarkation day, was having a good old rant at the reception desk complaining that she had specifically ordered a sea view room and all she could see, out of her cabin window, was the docks.

We were driving on Exmoor.
Look at that bird, said Mrs B.
That’s a Kite, I told her.
Well, it’s a blooming good one because it looks just like a bird, she replied.

Just use fairy liquid so that your entire body "can feel as soft as your face with mild green Fairy Liquid"
