Apparently Carnival (cruise line rather than group) have introduced something similar. Whether Cunard and P&O do so remains to be seen.

This should certainly give some reassurance to those already booked, however, moving your cruise to 'any' future cruise will be subject to availability with no guarantee of cabin grade one would presume?

But they are allowing you to apply the credit to any existing booking as well, so for those of us who book on launch and can have quite a few cruises already booked, this will be a major plus point.

Your mathematics is outstandingly accurate, if you dont have a future cruise booked it is extremely difficult to apply any credit to it. However most people can afford the minimal deposit that's now needed, so it's not just the filthy rich who can have more than 1 cruise at a time booked.
