Azamara

Azamara seem to have some good deals at the moment - with free balcony upgrades. Some of the offers showing on Iglu look to be very good value (eg Miami to Nice, 17 nights incl flights, soft drinks and gratuities £1825 balcony - that's what we paid for 17 nights on Ventura in obstructed view cabin). Has anyone experience of Azamara that they could share?

Hi Holiday Planner
Noted your post and just to say we have taken the plunge and booked for a Med cruise next year. Haven't been on Azamara before but reports are good and we like smaller ships. The April special offer seems very competitive especially if you factor in house wines & soft drinks etc.
Hope you managed to fix something up

Don't forget that Azamara include alcohol as well now.
They serve wine with both lunch and dinner OK not top end wines but very drinkable.
Yes at present they are giving a double upgrade from inside to balcony for the same price if you book before end September.
We have cruised with some of the top cruise lines and apart from the buffet area we think that Azamara are as good as Seabourn etc.
The staff on board could not do enough for you and nothing seemed too much trouble. Also you will get a free Azamazing Evening on your cruise. You just book up for this when you get your cruise documents.

Hope you have a great cruise we will certainly be booking with them again, we sailed on Quest.

Thanks for that. We are travelling on Journey for our February trip to Asia and Quest for the Med in May.
As I said in a previous post we like the R Class vessels and we would be happy to go on Adonia again but the P & O itineraries & timings just didn't work out for us next year, hence our Azamara trips.
Your comments are very helpful and we are really looking forward to travelling with them. It will be our first cruise with a line other than P&O - I have a feeling that we might be spoiled for the future!
One question though - did you take an adaptor plug for sockets? I'm guessing that the sockets will be US rather than UK or European.

They have both the Continental style plugs and the US plugs so yes you will need an adapter.

They have four sockets on the dressing table area.
