Is it possible time-wise to visit La Rochelle when berthing at La Verdon?

We thought maybe a taxi would be a good idea,, Has anyone done this?

It is certainly possible and it's about 50 miles ... albeit there's heaps to do in Bordeaux and environs.

ps ... La Rochelle is a lovely Port, the shuttle will take you there, do a walk-a-bout and have a nice lunch maybe
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

We love La Rochelle..lots of little shops and cafes..spent a very pleasant few hours on the times we have been there. Had a lovely market too.
