Koper

We are going on an Adriatic cruise this year (Thomson) and are stopping at Venice, Koper, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Kotor and Corfu.
We're happy to do our own thing in all these places, but I was wondering whether a trip to Ljubljana and Lake Bled would be a good option? £50 for a 8 hr tour doesn't seem bad - certainly in comparison to P&O trips!

Anyone been?

The ship will Park at the Sea Wall, above which is a small road that leads downhill through their version of a High Street, quite pleasant as is the climb up the Bell Tower and a gentle stroll around the entire place but it won't take all day for sure. There is also a bus, else taxi, from the Main Road that could take you about 10 miles north to a lovely traditional seaside town.

Lake Bled is an beautiful, even idilic, place to spend a week if the weather holds.

Ljubljana is ( was in 2006 ) a stunning City and the key attractions are on and beside the river network. Think Cafe culture with beautiful architecture and everything bedecked in flowers ... we absolutely loved it, also the pavement meal with a bottle of local white wine at very affordable prices.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
