Have just booked our next cruise which is 18 nights to the Canaries and The Azores on 2 April.

The only ports we haven't been to are Horta, Praia de Vitoria and Fuerteventura. I'm doing a bit of research and would welcome any thoughts or ideas about these ports.

Several of the nine Azores ( Az-Hore-Rezz ) Islands are quite beautiful, albeit a tad ' rustic '.

You are going to the ' blue ' and ' lilac ' Islands, both deserve an Island tour but Horta has the most to see and do if you intend to DIY.

A useful-ish research site ...

As for Fuerteventura it's sun bathing, sun bathing or .... well, sun bathing.

Indeed it is, there is also a maritime / whaling museum to visit if you are interested in their ' whaling ' history.

Have a great cruise, Rita, and please look after Oriana for us as we get on as you get off. I'm hoping there will be no flu on board, no noro-virus and no breakdowns. Am I asking too much ?
