War Horse Live at the cinema

We went to see War horse beamed live from the National Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed it. This seems to be a new trend, to show West End shows in the cinema and very professional it was too. Certainly for those of us who enjoy the theatre but live so far away from London it presents a good opportunity to see the shows at a price considerably cheaper than the £75+ (excluding travel and hotel) it would have cost us to see it live.

I presume it has also been shown in other cinemas around the country so well worth keeping an eye open on what is showing locally.

We sometimes get shows and especially opera beamed live to a large screen at a square in the town near us. I agree it's a great opportunity.
