J419 - Caribbean Cruise

#1

Post by selsey birder »

Hi Everyone,

This will be my first cruise (George my wife is not a cruise virgin - real name Georgina).

As my handle suggests I am an enthusiastic and fairly well travelled birder, anyone else on the cruise with the same interest?

Thanks for any replies.

Ian

'Fraid not, but sure you will enjoy it. We sailed to the Caribbean lea flier this year and
It was exciting to see the first frigate bird about a day or so before we sighted land.

we did the Caribbean earlier this year and the wildlife was stunning
plenty of fish and fowl around to keep you amused
Also look out for the lizards, they are huge

Dear All,

Thanks for the feedback so far.

I have seen Frigatebirds in the past, yes they are spectacular, as are the Tropicbirds.

All nature interests us, so it will be good to catch up with everything. I did snorkel off Antigua 10 years ago and the fish were simply spectacular.
