X425 Oriana to Portugal, Gibraltar and Spain

#1

Post by Jan Rosser »

Just booked this cruise - going on the 27th October - absolute bargain :thumbup

Travelling with my son's in-laws who are paying £455 for 10 nights (mine is double with SS) but I still feel a price not to be turned down. So this weekend the cases are coming back out of the attic and the packing begins

There are some amazing deals around at present. We are weighing up a couple in December ourselves.

That's why you have to pay double, wear and tear on the furniture and overtime for the porters!

But seriously, I know you so rarely manage to get away, which ship? (sadly we can't join you, already off somewhere else)

We did similar this time last year on Oriana Jan.

We had a wonderful time and the weather was great

Ours was £549 for an outside for 12 nights. An absolute steal at that price. Don't know how they do it.
£46 a night

I stayed in a Premier Inn in Coventry for one night this week and that cost £72 with no breakfast.

I don't know how long these super bargains will last, but make hay

We did a 'cheap' cruise on Oriana earlier this year. We had a great time & a super cabin but just felt the food was a bit of a let down. Maybe it was because we were used to first sitting and were put on second or maybe they were gearing up for plated service. Whatever the reason it made us consider other companies. We have just come back from Aurora & it was excellent. Confidence restored. Seriously though, is there any difference in quality between high & low season cruises? (Up until this year we have only travelled in peak season or on very popular itineraries in June or early Sept.
Just re read this post & it sounds a bit 'sour'.It's not meant to be. You'll have a great time. Oriana is a lovely ship.

Probably is a little bit Ranchi but not too much as many customers would have paid the top price anyway.

It is slightly illogical to expect top drawer experiences for budget money and I'm sure that they cut their cloth accordingly, a little bit anyway.

However, it still represents great value for money.

Nearly all the cruise lines are doing knock down prices, some more than others, but there are some incredible deals about if you look.
