press shift and the number 3 £..
BUT....cant figure out how to get hash tag which is also actually printed on number 3..whereas the £ sign isn't

I've tried it on mine and just press the '.?123' key and the £ sign is there. I take it yours doesn't do that?
Hash is the same button but then the shift button changes to give you more characters including #.

Get yourselves a Samsung tablet and the £ is there right in front of you...in fact don't buy one just bung me a hundred quid and you can have mine
