Re: Suites
Why? Have you been offered an upgrade - or have you won the lottery ?

Re: Suites
Couldn't possibly say. My only concern is ship movement being right up front. I had a bad experience with rough weather on our first cruise on Oriana with our cabin being right up front. Sick as dog for two days.

We've only ever been midships or aft.

Re: Suites
Personally, I try to avoid right forward or right aft (suites or otherwise) as you can experience more movement but you should be OK in July

Deffo a no no for us. At a push we'd go aft but not forward. Only time we did that it was like sleeping in a lift!

Re: Suites
You will feel a LOT more movement and the balcony will not be of any use when sailing as it will be very windy.

Probably when Mrs Merv asked him 'does my bum look big in this' and he slurred the wrong answerqbman1 wrote:Not tried that either Merv. Have I missed anything ?!Mervyn and Trish wrote:Deffo a no no for us. At a push we'd go aft but not forward. Only time we did that it was like sleeping in a lift!

Re: Suites
Yep, Mrs S had the same thought as well. Might go for a mini suite if they offer one, but we are quite well placed where we currently are (B220), just aft of mid-ships.qbman1 wrote:Sounds like a big fat "no" then, chap !

Re: Suites
Have you ever wondered whether cruising is perhaps the right kind of holiday for you ?!

But if I can avoid the porcelain bowel it's a bonus, which is why we always try and get a cabin to as near mid-ships as possible. Actually I have been fine since that first bad experience. Perhaps I shouldn't have said that

Re: Suites
The suites are good on Aurora - we have attended many a Christmas party in them (we have friends who always have one !). Well worth the supplement - although not too sure about being at the sharp end though ?!

Re: Suites
That was what I thought, especially after Gill mentioned about it being windy right up at the pointy bit.......of the shipqbman1 wrote:The suites are good on Aurora - we have attended many a Christmas party in them (we have friends who always have one !). Think we will wait and see if we get offered a compo mini suite. I can think of better things to spend £400 on. The bar springs to mind
