Re: Cabin Reviews - Adonia
I have just had a look on the P&O website and couldn't find any photos of obstructed views cabins on Adonia. They seem to have them for other ships.

Prior to Adonia going to Fathom there were photographs of the obstructed cabins on the P&O site I remember as I had a look when we booked a TA. They may put them back once she is back in the fleet.

At least our Britannia balcony didn't have a lifeboat dumped on it

But think how handy it would be if the ship went down - just collect warm clothing, head covering and your bottle of aspirin and away you go !

Which photos are of Adonia because when you click on a photo and then click on 'view page', none I clicked were of Adonia, just Arcadia & Oriana?towny44 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2017, 10:46Found a couple of photos on google, hope these help.

I was sent a photo by a TA of an obstructed view balcony cabin on Adonia before we booked 50 nights on her and the obstruction was just a pillar to one side which may just have been in the way of moving the balcony chairs in the direction of the sun, no lifeboats at all. In the event, as we were on 2 long cruises, we booked an unobstructed balcony cabin.

oh well, Thanks for your help guys thanks for taking the trouble to find some photos, thinking of booking it just as a little cheeky 16 night cruise it's going to be cold, balcony won't be of much use plus we are never really in the cabin for any length of time, thank you all again

Handy site LC. Some of these obstructed/part obstructed windows aren't really such a problem and you can save a few pounds if you get the right one. However you do really need to see what you are getting because some are totally obstructed and apart from the odd seagull and sky you will see nothing at all.

Re: Cabin Reviews - Adonia
The best ones on Adonia are the ' obstructed ' balcony cabins at the aft, last one(s) prior to being on the stern.
Nought but a bit of a triangle partially obscuring one's view at the far right / left hand side.

Thought I should chip in my two-pennyworth....
Cabin Number: B061 (de-luxe balcony)
Overall Rating: 5*****
Cleanliness: 5*****
Furnishings: 5*****
Balcony: 4****
Bathroom: 4****
Location: 5*****
Stability: 5*****
Quiet Cabin?: 4****
Comments: This cabin is right in the middle of the ship on the starboard side (we have previously also had B063 which is on the other side of the central divide)
I have marked Furnishings as 5* even though it does not have a coffee table - in fact, I think this was a bonus as it allows much more space around the sofa/dressing table area. Balcony adequately spacious and furnishing fine although the dividing partition with B059 has a gap of almost 6 inches all around so you wouldn't feel at all comfortable going out there without your kit on !! Bathroom cupboard space a bit limited but there are additional shelves and racks - my main reason for marking it down is the rather unpleasant-looking non-slip coating applied to the shower tray which makes it look like it is seriously mildewed and the shower curtain is very ill-fitting.
It is usually a very "quiet cabin" except on tender port days. Two of the starboard lifeboats are invariably used as tenders and this cabin is directly above the gear for one of them so there can be much banging and grinding from below anytime after 7 a.m. on tender days!
Generally a very good cabin and we would definitely go for B61 or 63 again (although the corresponding cabins on the port side might be preferable !
