Anyone heard any details of this refit - with only two months to go surely there must be some details around.

Mr Google cannot find anything either. However why is she having this refit as its only 3.75 years since her last one when normally its 5 plus. Makes you think that maybe there is a serious engineering fault being remedied.

I don't suppose it has nothing to do with the fact that I will be sailing on her next August ?

Possibly - but it has been planned for some time now

I doubt it - but it may be due to me sailing on her in September 2018

Probably just getting a quick touch up of paint and a hoover through. Not worth the publicity.

We had a look round Arcadia last year. She wasn't for us.

Always thought that Arcadia had the looks of a Caravan rather than an Ocean Liner ...

Well I don't know what that says about me as it's one of my favourite ships.
I was looking to book at cruise on her when it was taken of sale due to the refit.

When we were on Arcadia ( at least 6 years ago ) they had a huge problem with plumbing, I am told by a reliable source the problems still exist so perhaps the refit is to sort it out once and for all.

It says one of three things ... perhaps ;)

a) You like caravans ?

b) You like pale / insipid / bland / contemporary woodgrain shades ?

c) You just love Arcadia ?

ps ... my favourite ship is Adonia

It was getting past the gaggle of pensioners stopped in the doorway gossiping.

No hang on . That was Sainsbury's last week...

Had an email from P&O this morning giving details about the Arcadia refit. I certainly hope they will do something about the non-existent atrium! Will be interesting to hear from someone who goes on her post refit.

My OH is always banging on about Aurora being her favourite ship. Personally, any will do as long as she gets me to where I'm going and home again, I'm happy with that.

But I do like Arcadia... or any other with a decently wide prom deck.

I always feel with Arcadia's atrium and reception desk it's like going into the basement to find it. I don't know why but it seems as though it is tucked away and should have a more prominent profile.

Agreed. I always thought the atrium was a non event.

I notice in the same newsletter that Fathom is now a handful of excursions rather than a separate brand. That went well didn't it!
