QM2 "explosion"

#1

Post by Mervyn and Trish »

Has anybody else seen the reports of an "explosion" on QM2?

It seems a generator failed (noisily!) in the Caribbean.

One person claimed the ship was without power for an hour. But another says they were stuck in a lift for 15 minutes before power came back on.

All in all one of those things that happens on ships. It seems the crew kept passengers informed but one passenger says they were terrified and feared the ship was being attacked by pirates!

But the best bit is the passenger who is claiming £3000 compensation for their 15min/1hour disturbance!

I'm just checking to see if I can retrospectively book on the cruise and claim at the same time!

Presumably the ship slowed considerably so whiplash is possibility.

Here's the full laugh story and it took place on December 30th.

How you can even contemplate claiming one third of the cost of a 27 night cruise for 15 minutes inconvenience is beyond belief.

I can understand the passenger feeling traumatised after being stuck in a lift. As for the ship being the largest in the world.....really! I think not.

It did say cruise liner which it probably is as there are very few actual liners anymore.
