Theresa May will confirm it's also a cruel world in politics as well.

Re: Dynasties
Another long gap in my presence on the forum. (I am still not 100% after my accident.)
However that is due to difficult circumstances with OH's health for some time and being unable to cruise. Sadly my dear OH died last Thursday.
I will pop in and offer advice to newbies, when I feel able to, but I don't think that will be any time soon.
Thanks to those cruising friends who have sent me PM's and e mails.
Regards

Re: Dynasties
I am so terribly sorry wolfie. You’ve had such an awful time for so long and now to lose your OH who was such a lovely person. We send our sincere condolences to you and your family.
I hope in time you will feel able to come back, when that time is right for you. In the meantime, take care of yourself.

Re: Dynasties
I am so sorry to hear of your loss Wolfie - please accept my sincere condolences. Having suffered the loss of my husband over 12 years ago after suffering ill health for many years I can put myself in your place and can only tell you to take one day at a time and be kind to yourself - remember all the lovely times together - those memories can never be taken away.
You have been through so much Wolfie - take care of yourself and I hope you will feel able to join us again one day.

So sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you must be feeling having gone through the same trauma myself 3 years. ago. I was encouraged by members of this forum at the time and it certainly helped me to keep going.

Thank you to all who have posted, very much appreciated.
Our last cruise together was in the summer of 2016,then ill health stepped in, BUT, I will cruise again when I feel able to do so on my own.
That is what he would have wanted.

Re: Dynasties
Like you I lost my wife 3 years ago after 55 years of marriage and over 30 cruises together. After much encouragement from members of this forum, particularly Jan, I cruised on my own after about 9 months and have now completed another 8 with 2 more booked for this year. I have made a lot of new friends who meet up with me on cruises.
Nothing can replace what we have lost. but life must go on for the remainder of our families. All the best Wolfie.
Colin.
