A lot of regulars on CC seem to have booked, the prices are very good but I just don't think Oceana would suit us, there are no standard accessible balconies and I have no idea what the layout(s) are for the OV ones.

We would have loved to do the 35 night one but the ship gets back to SH the day after our Aurora Xmas cruise starts. It is a great price for 35 nights away in gritty November and December.

Managed to get a mini suite on the 10th October, 17 days, brilliant price as friends have tried to book after and the price had doubled for a balcony cabin. Also £315 on board credit each, so we are well pleased!

Gave it a lot of serious thought and did find it tempting. Two drawbacks the cabins are very small on Oceama and I do not find the thought of the Bay of Biscay in January very appealing. End of February would be out as I'm sure there will be quite a few children on board for half term.
So will stick with my current bookings.

I had a quick look this morning at the 14 night Canary Islands trip on the 27th October. The balcony price then was £1199 but I see now that it has jumped to £1409!
Suites are sold out.

Same as Lindsey. Looked through them all but we already have 1 more this year under this year's annual insurance and 3 with low deposits on for next year which are dependent on next year's insurance cost. If you look now the opening Oceana prices have increased quite a lot. However, my sister is pleased with her booking on 23/2/20 for a balcony and a fair bit of OBC. I bet there are a lot of happy cruisers out there with a bargain.Whynd1 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 15:20Gave it a lot of serious thought and did find it tempting. I must admit that I was tempted but in reality we are just far too busy at the moment.
I booked an all inclusive for January to Lanzarote.
There was some very tempting prices.
Balcony for 54 quid a night

Not a ship we would cruise in, but glad those that like her have had a bargain or two.

Lots of excitement on another site at a 14 day per to the Canaries for under £600. Middle of October. Suppose there may be a reason for such a bargain....oh yes, what usually travels to the U.K. from the Caribbean about that time of year? Still, at that price I guess it’s worth a punt.

Could be half term I do find that a big drawback on Oceana, prices are usually good so lots of families on board. Let's hope the weather is good for them all.

Middle of October in the Canaries is usually lovely weather.
Perfect time to go in my opinion, as long as the BoB behaves.
They must have had massive response because the prices have hiked quite considerably.

I’m sure the weather will be good in the Canaries. My only concern would be the journey there & back as the remnants of tropical storms make their annual pilgrimage NE & I’m sure the route would/could be altered to mitigate their effect.

Sort of one of my main concerns about the January and February cruises, weather may be bad going up and down and on Oceana not that many places to sit etc.

Having had Oct 2019 cancelled booked for the 23 day repositioning Valletta to Dubai via Suez fingers crossed for this one. On Azura for 14 nights Caribbean in Nov 2019 in place of the cancelled cruise
