On that excursion we also went the the Sagrada Familia, which I thought was very beautiful
(The cruise was the Britannia maiden)

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
We were on that! But it was our first visit to Barcelona so we did a city tour rather than spend much time anywhere so we didn't get to go inside the Sagrada. Amazing though even from outside.

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
Parc Guell covers quite a large area so it may not be possible to see it all on an excursion. We went uphill from our Hotel by Taxi to get there and opted for a leisurely downhill walk back again. Apart from the pottery settings there are everything from tunnels to high level walkways to experience ... just a sample of pics.

Some great photos on here for Barcelona and I feel this area deserves at least a week's visit to appreciate everything.

We haven't even touched on Las Ramblas, the covered Market, the Old Town, Picasso's Museum or the Footy Stadium etc.
A week is enough to see it all but only if you do it at 100mph

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
Posting these pics I decided to have a peek at a map of Spain ...
I then wondered how many of us used to take Ole style package holidays to resorts such as Lloret else Tossa de Mar, Calella or possibly Santa Susana like wot we did with the main railway line cutting straight through the Hotel grounds

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
One visit to the Nou Camp Stadium years ago was enough for me. I was bored rigid.
Does one get kicked off the cruise for such sacrilege ?
Maureen.
PS I know we have some photos of the stadium and trophies but I have no idea where or whether they are on a video.

I really enjoyed our visit to the Nou Camp. I thought the stadium was strangely beautiful

My favourite pic of Sagrada Familia ... my footy pic was taken many many years ago and it's not as good as Gills

We'll have an overnight stay in Barcelona to give you time for additional excursions and then leave for Mahon, Menorca on Saturday evening.

Not been to Port Mahon, albeit we nearly did, so I will have a lie in until we get to somewhere we have been to

Hang on a minute, I never signed up for overnight stays. I dont mind late departures for those passengers wanting to check out the local nightlife, but I prefer a new port each morning. I dont want to be wasting 8 hours of sailing time tied up alongside going nowhere, that's not a cruise.

We were due to sail into Cuidadela, Menorca this time last year but due to bad weather the call was cancelled. As it was a new island for us, I was really looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see any photos that others have.
