The green light system sounds ok and will doubtless be accurate-ish regarding Europe but less so perhaps in a number of other places, for example in Asian Countries where reporting does not always follow UK type protocols meaning that Corona victims are few and far between yet ‘ Heart attacks and unexpected ‘ related deaths have soared.

Having said that I do not actually know how far the ' Travel Corridors ' will .... travel.

I feel it's still all too soon and we will regret it with a second wave of the virus kicking in.

I know one person who won't be travelling abroad any time soon.

The government have said they will deal with isolated outbreaks…. well good luck with that then because unless each plane load of passengers come from the same area there’s going to be an awful lot of isolated outbreaks should one of them come back infected

How I hate media websites that try to push you to subscribe or fill in reams of data protection terms before they let you onto their site. I would burn all their editors at the stake.

So how are they going to enforce the lockdown rule for those that visit a country and then have to isolate when they return. Will plod be stationed outside your house for two weeks....
..I think not.

Just cannot see how they can enforce it apart from a neighbour grassing you up.

Random checking and/or the use of the Track & Track operatives could be options.

Tagging would be easier…a small price to pay if they really feel they need a holiday abroad

I wonder how a person will be able to arrange travel insurance if these corridors are subject to closure last minute especially if the ships start operating as I doubt you would be able to get full European cover or worldwide come to that. Better off staying in the Uk but without piddling on Mobys lawn..

Thank you ...

Such activities should of course be restricted to the Piddle Valley where, with luck, they will be staring down both barrels.
