do we HAVE TO include forum members?

do they have to be alive?

can they be fictitious?
If you have a spade and a wheel barrow to get them to the table, formally dressed of course .... :tired:
ha ha - what I was wondering was could you have a table including Harry Potter and William Shakespeare?

Not that they would be my choices, but were the first names that sprung to mind
I thought, and had hoped, that would be the case Meg but my concern was that you may have been asking about previous Members who have sadly died. I wouldn't wish to cause offence to Mrs Shiney for example nor indeed to the memory of the single chap who was gay and worked on London's Underground railway. I cannot remember his name right now even though we shared the ' Adonia Naming ' experience.

Can anybody remember his name ?

Now why didn't I think of that
Because OLD age is catching up with you  I've noticed you're a bit slow out of the stalls theses days...just saying ;)

Still hanging around the toilets Keith. :D
As long as he remembers to pull his trousers up there shouldn’t be a problem

Spot on again

He was good fun I remember and was even on t'telly on a program about the London Underground.

Had Meg been able to get him here he could have sat at our table, maybe with the Cerne Abbas Giant.

We always ask to be seated on a table for 8 and usually find something to converse about over dinner, It should be obvious that as the other six diners have also chosen the same format for dinner, it's likely that they are outgoing by nature and actively seek new acquaintances, It helps if we all share a common love of good food and wine, because, hopefully, that's what we are going to enjoy every evening. Am I displaying a wistful longing to be at sea again? we should have been sailing to the Baltic in 26 days, but now it's the Aegean and Adriatic next May and that seems a long way off!

I wonder what the new social distancing arrangements will do to the table numbers, and whether Freedom dining will still exist. I read somewhere that one of the lines was proposing only fixed dining times, and smaller table numbers.

Had a chat with chums from Poole yesterday and they explained that their ferry journey from Poole to France is booked but that everybody who was able to book could only do so if they agreed to book a cabin and stop in it for the entire crossing and also to take any food and beverages that might be required.

Perhaps P&O will follow suit on their cruises :relaxed:

Yes, but only if it's an en-suite cabin ... :(
