Anyone else underwhelmed by the list of "celebrities" this year - in fact has anyone even heard of most of them?

We gave it a miss last year and will probably do so again.
For me, it’s had it’s day but I know millions love it.

I do believe similar comments have been made for the past couple of years, but it still gets top viewing figures.

I've heard of some of them. Probably about the same percentage as usual.

And to be fair most of them have never heard of me either.

It bothers me not Who is on it, it won’t be getting air time in our humble abode.

It certainly does John.
We’ve given up on all of those shows.
Don’t bother with BGT anymore.
With sky, netflix and amazon we don’t watch that much terrestrial tv anymore.

We've never watched after the first series. I know lots of people watch it but we like to watch a film on a Saturday evening (we use Amazon)

Without any of thoses we find plenty to watch on terrestrial tv across the dozens of channels on Freeview. But mostly drama and documentaries. We do like Strictly but other "talent" shows rarely feature and, as for "reality" tv, I can't understand how it got its name. What part of Big Brother or Love Island has any relationship to reality?

Mobietta will possibly tune in but I think it's time to give it a miss when same sex couples are doing the dancing. Gives me the creeps and that's deffo not my idea of Saturday evening viewing and especially not if live footy is on or we have recorded a decent film to watch.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I might give it a look. I'm not holding my breath for a second weeks viewing though.

It all when down the pan for me when Len threw in the towel and we lost good old Brucie, may he rest in peace.

I agree on Len but have to disagree on Brucie. He was a great talent in his day but I thought he had lost it sometime before he bowed out.

I'll be watching it but I'm in agreement with Moby and don't go along with same sex couples dancing together so it will give me time to make a coffee. I suppose things have to change. We miss Len but I was never a great fan of Brucie and towards the end of his career he was almost embarrassing. We'll have a look and if it's changed too much we will find something else to watch.

I wasn't holding out too much hope for this years show, but was pleasantly surprised.

Two or three were obvious candidates for the chop early in, but I could see allot of potential in some of the others......even if I didn't know most of them. We shall see

I suspect poor old Caroline Quentin will be for the early exit, despite her early years ballet lessons.

You’ve got to feel sorry for Anton as he seems gets more than his fair share of the duffers… at least he shouldn’t have to suffer for too long.

Didn't he get to the final last year?

I think that HRVY lad could do quite well providing he doesn't get too cocky.

Caroline Quentin voice got on my nerves.
Afraid I switched off half way through.
You would have bet money on Anton getting the former home secretary.
Probably watch the actual dancing next week.

Well ....

Sorry but I thought it was a load of old rubbish albeit I hadn't seen an intro program before.

Without a hooting cheering audience I fear the ' performers ' will fall well short, I also believe that it should have been axed for this year. Mobietta tells me that there will be an audience when it starts in earnest but I do wonder why this should be the case given that an audience is not permitted in the vast expanse of an out in the fresh air football stadium.

Discuss ....
