We are delighted to reveal that the newest member of the P&O Cruises fleet will be called Arvia, meaning “from the seashore.”

Arvia is set to join the fleet in December 2022 and her design will celebrate the stunning views of the ocean and seashore.

Holidays on Arvia will have relaxation, tranquility and sunshine at their heart. Keep an eye out as holidays go on sale next month.

It doesnt grab me like Iona did.
Too similar to the transport and insurance company names.

To be honest due to the size of it it's highly unlikely that I will want to cruise on her.

It is said to be a sun ship, according to P&O, and the virtual video clip shows she has no Sly Dome, so I doubt she be heading for northern waters.

Will need to see the deck plans and cabin sizes before any decision is made regarding a future booking.

I would expect passenger decks to be virtually the same as Iona

Pretty much any cruise ship would be better than a holiday in the UK

Balcony sizes are important for us, we won’t do the battle of the sun beds.we always go for C deck on Azura/Ventura.

I imagine the accommodation decks will be identical to Iona, and if I remember correctly, you felt they were far too small for you.

It will be interesting to see if Arvia has the conservatory mini suites that Iona has bearing in mind that she is a "sun" ship, which would suggest that open balconies would be more appropriate.

You are correct, and if they are then I doubt I will be cruising on her. But never say never John.

NO - disagree - you clearly go to the wrong places on the UK! There's plenty of lovely places to holiday
