As they hopefully expand, maybe they will sail from different ports like CM did.
Brizzle would suit me 😁

Rising from the ashes of the old CMV line is a new one to the British market namely Ambassador. Just been having a look at its one ship Ambience which was formerly Regal Princess and latterly Regal Dawn.
Looks interesting and certainly one to keep your eye on especially for those who are not keen on the larger ships (moi!).

Just got their brochure during the week. They seem to be pricing themselves to attract customers - some nice itineraries at good prices.

I thought that their pricing was somewhat on the high side - but that may have just been the cruises that I looked at.

One thing I noted is that they are not members of ABTA.

They say that any monies paid are held in trust, but if they go bust while you are on holiday, potentially passengers could be left to get themselves home.

It’s something to be aware of

Presumably ABTA want them to at least contribute to the losses they suffered when CMV went under, before allowing them back into the fold.

ABTA is absolutely last resort, one should get proper protection via ones Insurance Policy plus use of a Credit Card. The passenger, it should be understood, is last in a cast of thousands waiting for payment.

I suspect most insurers will point you to ABTA in the case of any company failure, since they know that exists. I have never known any insurer not to want to spread the burden whenever it can.

It was more a question of complexity. We were by instinct only interested in getting our own money back but realised that there would be plenty of other passengers too. However, the Administrators had to provide a list of everybody who needed to be included. Passengers counted as just the one and there were a total of about 75 x A4 pages of all the others ... ranging from the Fuel supplier to the paper boy and beyond.

I was thinking more on the lines of Bejontley’s, a more upmarket area of Norway :)
