Re: Vaccinations and testing
Just remember you are a cruiseship and you are in close proximity to others, an ideal place to pass covid on. Lifts still get crowded with those that think it's all over. There will be some who's hygiene may be questionable.
You just need to be aware of your surroundings.
Have a good cruise screwy.
Just a note, we did use masks in the settings outlined by P&O and had no problems, did not spoil our enjoyment and never had concerns.

We will still be taking the usual precautions.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
Good job I have belt and braces.
The belt has just broken - Lloyds have just rung to say that they cannot do the test on Saturday morning
Just have to hope that the braces hold up and the home test works.
Having read all the problems with Lloyds and my experience I doubt that I will be going there again, nor will I be recommending them.

Good job you found out now and had a backup. It's not a good advertisement for Lloyd's pharmacy.

Glad you have a back up but not surprised by another Lloyd's cock up.

I wouldn't rely on any of them. It's the online method for me.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
Does anyone know the life span of antigen test kits. Thinking if I get four kits to be on the safe side and only use two could the other two be used for future travel/cruises if still required, say in a years time.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
I suspect that it varies but the ones that I have last about 18 months. It probably will be the luck of the draw - and with your luck will probably be out of date before you get them

Thanks pal.
They probably will be if the rumours going round are to be believed that Onelife is branching out into this market

Re: Vaccinations and testing
My NHS ones that I've had for some time have dates in late 2023 and early 2024. I presume the purchased ones needed for pre cruise tests will be similar.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
According to Rapid Tests theirs are only valid for five months.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
Hi, just looking for a bit of advice/confirmation. We are going on our first cruise with home-based pre-boarding LFT (we did a short trip on QM2 in Nov but that involved port testing pre cruise and a day 2 test at home -we used Testing for All & it was fine.) Next month we are going on Ventura (not been on her before) from Soton and I have ordered & picked up from a local store two Randox Certifly kits. Relatives have cruised recently & they described LFTs where they were videoed doing their test. This Randox test doesn’t do that (you do the test, confirm it is you & scan in a picture of the test. Certification is sent to the app.)
Questions:
Are these tests OK for P&O?
Is it ok to use two people on one app- my wife’s phone is a bit older than mine?
Is it worth buying an extra couple of tests in case anything goes awry? ( we have another trip booked later in the summer.)
Many thanks.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
Check here for vaccination requirements.

I would say yes to the app unless it is specifically registered to you. Best to check with the provider.
Certainly worth getting an extra couple of test kits, especially as you are cruising again in the summer. It’ll cover for both eventualities.

Re: Vaccinations and testing
We intend to buy extra test kits for our June cruise, just in case we make a mess up, if not they should be OK for our next cruise in October.
