Is 'Guardian reader' not an oxymoron ?

Re: like minded shipmates?
My experience tells me that the vast majority of passengers will be Mail readers or other right wing comics. Maybe a Torygraph or Times or two and a smattering of other titles.
A world cruise will be even more right wing and snobby, if you value your life don't mention Thomsons except in a derisory way.

Well, none of you have been very helpful to Lorraine have you? Unfortunately I shan't be on this cruise, nor do I read the Guardian but here are some tips for you to spot other Guardian readers,Lorraine at sea wrote:Hi

Lorraine
1. They will be carting around at least 3 Apple products.
2. Beards and flip flops (this applies to both sexes)
3. Plummy accents loudly disparaging the government, the police etc.
4. Wads of cash
I hope this helps

I might get a 'I love Thomson's Cruises' t-shirt made then.

Excellent idea. You would be surprised how many P&O cruisers have enjoyed Thomson cruises but are scared to admit it. The parties are better and the booze is cheaper.
ps - did you notice that they are basing a ship in Jamaica for winter 2014/15 and Phuket is rumoured for later as the Dreamliner deliveries continue. Pity they have bad single cabins. Venturas single cabins were pretty bad on my last cruise as well. i can't recommend them.

I am somewhat worried now
should I admit my next cruise in Jan is with Thomson or should I pretend it is Cunard , just to be posh and snobby?

Is there a Daily Sport? I remember the Sunday Sport, full of silicone bimbos and headlines about aliens and martinis

No, no Batty, that won't work. The whole point about hogging a sunbed is you just leave your comic there. You, of course, will be somewhere else, possibly placing another comic to save your seat in the theatre, while you enjoy a drink in one of the bars in which you saved seats earlier. How can you colour in when you and your comic are in different places.Dark Knight wrote:no I save that for when I am hogging the sunbeds

Re: like minded shipmates?
If "snobby" is what you want then it would need to be Silversea et.al. - after all Cunard is only "middle of the road" like P&ODark Knight wrote:Dave

It would be if they could find a reader with enough intelligence to spot the spelling mistake.Meg 50 wrote:Is the Guardian still better known as the Grauniad?
