A big thank you to P&O
We've just got back from our free Oceana tour and lunch and I must say, what a lovely day we had.
A painless journey down to Southampton and on to the to the Ocean Terminal.
Free coffee on arrival and swiftly 'booked in'
The tour was a trip down memory lane for us as we were last on this ship in 2010. Not much has changed to be honest, The Atrium is still as stunning.
A Refurb in the Winners bar. A bit more understated and not as glitzy as before. A refurb in Le Club and new seating in the Starlights.
We were shown all grades of cabin including suites. I'd forgotton how small the Oceana cabins were cpmpared to the other ships but beautifully presented.
The lunch was supurb as expected.
I chose Asparagus with quails egg and a Parmesan crisp for starters
Then Beef Wellington with veg
I chose Brownie with Vanilla ice cream & Raspberry jus for pudding. I would have been rude not to.
All washed down with free water & wine
We were treated like royalty from start to finish and surprisinly, no hard sell for cruises.
So, after all the negative that's been posted lately, I'd like to say a big thank you for such an enjoyable day

Barney
Glad you had a good day....Strange ain't it how negative, moaning posts get quite a large response....This one being full of praise and not a moan in site has by enlarge been ignored.
Now why should that be

Yeah, strange that, isn't it Paul
I will also add that the young lady who took us round was very chatty so we bought up the 'Getaway' business.
We had to laugh when she told us that not only does she take advantage of the 'deals' but so do all the other staff.
Apparantly the Getaways are cheaper than their staff discount so they just book on line, like us.

I wonder if the staff get to choose their cabin and dining timesbarney wrote:

They must be doing something right if the staff want to book holidays on board.
I wouldn't go anywhere near my office when I'm not working
