Come on, I know from the old P&O forum that there are two other families coming with us. Surely there must be more!

Hi Mel

I know from the old forum that there's a family of four, and another couple coming, so there should be at least 12 of us!

Five weeks and 5 days to go.... (not that I'm counting!)

We have been on the Oriana. Is this ship the same as the Oriana because we are not keen on the larger ships. ;)

No, it's very different. Oceana has, according to many reports, the most stunning atrium in the P&O fleet. It certainly is beautiful.

We had our first trip on Oriana last year and, frankly, we much prefer Oceana. It's not much bigger than Oriana. The only thing (apart from a dedicated cinema) that, for us, sets Oriana above Oceana is that the former seems to have much more indoor seating. We did the fjords last year and it was way too cold to sit out, but we never had any problem finding somewhere peaceful to sit. Conversely, a few years back on Oceana, we sailed through a Force 11 in the Med and inside seating was at a premium. Whether that situation may have been addressed since the refit, we'll find out in 5 days, 24 hours!!

Oceana was the first ship I went on with my OH back in 2004. The atrium is lovely. They did the champagne glasses flow in the atrium, something they don't do anymore. We had a wonderful cruise and we are really looking forward to this cruise and the ports. 5 weeks today...

Oceana was also our first cruise with P&O, we did the Fjords for our 10th wedding anniversary in 2009 ... I still think she has a stunning atrium :D
