You can hop on the tender from Leith. No need for ID. Just blag it.Stephen wrote: ↑27 May 2023, 13:55Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑27 May 2023, 12:10So if anyone wants to pop in for a drink I'm in the bar now with Voyage Card poised (this is Cunard you know so nothing so common as a Cruise Card). Great walk-a-bout place is Leith with shops and plenty of places to have a drink ... just saying

We were going to do that but it's a bit chopsy out there and a 25 minute journey. They actually stopped taking people across around lunchtime. Plus standing queuing for the tender back and Trish has a dodgy hip so we decided on a ship day.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Here is a gardening conundrum for you. We have a rose in a large plant pot on our 1st floor balcony, occasionally I see snail/slug trails on the soil surface, but never find the culprit. There are no snail trails on the tiled balcony, nor on the terracotta pot sides, so where do the little buggers go??

They are living in the soil so sprinkle some of those blue slug pellets on the surface of the pot.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
I just wonder what they are living off in the pot soil, the rose is thriving and there no sign of them chewing on the leaves, could be a new super slug that doesn't need food.Stephen wrote: ↑28 May 2023, 19:17Manoverboard wrote: ↑28 May 2023, 16:35They are living in the soil so sprinkle some of those blue slug pellets on the surface of the pot.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
If it were me John I would sprinkle some slug pellets on top of the soil. That should get rid of any intruders.

Would have been a scorching past few weeks if it wasn't for the wind stuck in the north to east quarter, and will be for the next two weeks. Out of the wind it's very hot.

Now I'm afraid that is where we differ Paul. I just love summer, around 30c is just rite, time to slip a shrimp on the barbie and relax, take things slowly. Winter lasts a long time.

30c ……way too hot for me.
A nice 21-23 will do fine thanks with a gentle breeze ……and a brolly.
