Before we came out here, we bought tickets online to visit Legoland. When we arrived at the gate, they demanded to see identification - which we didn't have. The Lady C had a credit card with her name on it but that was all. I think it was only because my son and DIL were with us and they had their State driving licences on them that we were reluctantly admitted.

Also, we went to a supermarket and they had several stands giving free samples of wine. The minimum age for drinking is 21 but, even though we are clearly well over that age, because we didn't have photo ID with us, we were not allowed to have any.

My recommendation would be to take either your passport or photo driving licence everywhere with you.
