Summer in February

A semi true love triangle set in Cornwall with supposedly Sir Alfred Munnings. Sad ending though.

I love that film Alan and can watch it over and over again, the ending still makes me cry.

I'm the same with the Die Hard films, lost count of how many times I've seen them :o :o

My daughter (not Welshie) classes Con Air as a family comedy... Well, it's about a man trying to get home to his family, and lines like the "bunny" and "love your work" just crack her up.

Didn't go a bundle on DH 4 or 5, but 1-3 are great!

Hi Stephen,

I can’t think of any recent films that have made me want to sit down with a tub of popcorn, so I’m going to supplement with “Sixth Sense” one of my favourite all time films. It generally gets at least two viewings a year.

I’m off to see “The Hunger Games “next week...review pending.

Regards

Keith

Quite a few good ones this year ... Django uncovered, Hunger Games, Rush and hopefully the Hobbit will be good.

Some big disappointments too including Planet Earth, Oblivion, Star Trek.

Game of Thrones is a brilliant political thriller but the sex scenes are verging on pornographic and the use of the "c" word is a no-no. I've given up with it.

Django was very good
Star trek was decidedly average
The Dark Knight Rises was epic
Avengers Assemble was brilliant

Your probably right Alan, but let's live dangerously for a change

To be honest I didn't even know there was one until you mentioned it.

Yes it is a tad ancient

"On Golden Pond"

Was an excellent movie added and abetted by the finest family of actors/actresses

The Fondas

Bought as a stocking filler for the sadly missed much beloved on Betamax, plus a large box of Kleenex tissues

Halcyon days long since gone

I lived in Harwich (Dovercourt actually) when Radio Caroline started and I used to see Simon Dee and other DJs hanging around on the quayside waiting for their service tender. I built myself a simple radio but all I could get was Radio Caroline. It was only about four miles away and blotted everything out. One diode and a pair of headphones was all I needed.
