The Dark one's Caribbean jolly

Day 1
09.15 flight on the new Dreamliner out of Gatwick, there is a dedicated cruise check in desk away from the normal desks, after joining the line, we were checked in, cabins allocated , luggage tagged and through security in less than 30 minutes, which we thought was quick.
We had booked extra legroom seats , in row 30, which were next to the emergency exit, over the wings, the seats were a bit narrow, but comfy and we had acres of legroom, the downside was that the seats were near the toilets and people tended to congregate in the space, to do the now obligatory airborne yoga, why do people insist on doing a full work out in the aisle they look stupid and it is very selfish , to block the aisle.
A very smooth flight which took under 8 hrs to Barbados, good selection of films and entertainment
the flight food was ok but nothing special.
getting off the plane and standing on the runway waiting for coaches was a great way to say welcome to the Caribbean hop to the port followed by a very quick check in and we were on board.
The cabins were available so we dropped off our hand luggage and headed for the lido for food and a drink.
we had an outside cabin on deck 6 at the stern end of the ship, which was larger than the last 2 we have had with PandO, the bathroom was much bigger and the shower was large enough to move around in, without getting mugged by the shower curtain.
After lunch we mooched around the ship and then went up on deck for another drink and then waited for the muster drill
Why is it that people treat the muster drill as a either a joke or a photo opportunity?

After muster we went back to the cabin and as if by magic the cases had arrived, so as is Lady Dark's will, we unpacked and after a wash and change headed up to the bar for a pre dinner prandial, or a drink as it is commonly known before eating
The dinning room is open seating and as we were feeling tired and not very sociable we had a table for 2, so we could go when we were ready rather than leave a table full of people early. The food was fine, with a good choice of starters and mains
Another quick drink in the Delo bar and off to bed
First impression of the ship was very encouraging
Nihil Obstat
