Well done you. We got our place on the Maiden too. We'll try not to break anything before it's your turn. :sarcasm:

It's not the breaking that is the problem - it's more will there be anything left on board if Britannia's maiden is anything like previous maidens?

Hi Peppy - don't understand you saying you are only doing first two weeks - the Christmas/New Year cruise on Britannia 2015 is only a 14 nights cruise - David is doing the 28 day on Arcadia which is in Antigua on the 29th same as Britannia.

609 days to go :lolno:

I may be able to stretch to that... as long as my fellow mods do not construe it as bribery :moresarcasm:

Are you saying we have a choice of you paying for a drink or the boss ... if so it is a very kind offer but does David know he is being pimped?

Oh dear I am digging a deeper hole by the minute

So.. For the sake of my dignity and purse.. I am offering to buy a drink FOR the boss (aka David / Smurfie)... As long as Ken, OBF and MOB do not construe it as bribery..

Sorry for any confusion. When it was first up for sale or prereg, P&O had advertised it as a 28 nighter. Then they changed the goal posts and made it a back to back. When My TA was able to book it the 28 nights sold out as we spoke.Because of the double up on some of the Islands we decided to do the first two weeks of the back to back and not the 28 nights. Hope this clears any thing up

No problem Pauline - doesn't take much to confuse me these days  and I wasn't aware of the cruise previously being advertised as 28 days - now that I would have loved

Only 596 days to go now - where are you flying from - I'm travelling up to my son's so that I can travel with them from Manchester.

Hi Again, Iglu are still selling as a 28 night or the 14 nights. We did Azura in 2010 for 28 nights and it was a great cruise. I`m sure there are a few on this board that were on her at the same time as us. We are booked to fly from Gatwick on the 19th Dec and come home on the 2nd Feb, didn`t fancy flying home on New Years day. What date are you flying out? I might see if I can change it to Manchester as we could get the train right into the airport and stay overnight at a hotel. The train makes it easier on the luggage coming back. No weighing in for flight up to Scotland, excess baggage costs a fortune these days lol. 596 will fly by pardon the pun

Regards to all
Pauline

Hi Pauline,

I think I could have talked Garry into booking the 28 night cruise if it was doing a similar itinerary to the Azura 2910 cruise. It was such a fantastic cruise and has not been repeated. The offering on this 28 nighter wouldn't entice him because of the duplication of ports. I couldn't talk him into the 14 nighter because of the hassle of the flight home. I guess they have done it like this because of the school holidays. The Azura cruise doesn't fit in with school hols so this one needed to.

We are going to book the 24 night Arcadia Caribbean Christmas cruise.

My I pad is always doing that. It changes words and numbers all of the time.

Nothing to do with the wine of course.

Hi Sue, Azura 2010 was a blast, as you say they haven`t repeated it which is a shame as the ports were great. The weather was rubbish at times but that didn`t stop us. As you say Britannia 2015 has too many duplication of ports, hence us booking only the first 14 days. I looked at Arcadia for Dec 2015 but too many sea days for me.

Regards to all

Hi Pauline,
We are trying Oriana out this year for Xmas 24 night Caribbean. If that is okay we will book the Arcadia on our return. If not we will have to think again and may yet see you on Britannia if there is still space of course.

Sue
