I honestly cannot see what the problem is of putting on a jacket and bow tie just for a few hours on a few nights, or for the ladies to wear a long or cocktail dress..
Nor can I, but I don't want to do it every night.

But I think the vast majority of people look as if they've taken care over their appearance on smart casual nights. I enjoy the opportunity to wear a summer dress or trousers and top with matching accessories.

I just don't get this mentality that seems to exist where people think that passengers either dress formally or slob out, with no middle ground

Most people look nice on any evening, including smart casual nights.

Just because someone doesn't want to do formal evenings and jacket requires nights all the time, it doesn't make them a slob. Most still make the effort every night

We are due to join Britannia on the 29th Jan 2016. In under 2 weeks. I assume that there will be 4 formal nights of which one should be black and white. HOWEVER, we are not sure as P and O have failed to get to us the excursion brochure that has this information and more importantly our luggage labels. Response from P and O - "well all the brochures have been sent and we cannot send another one". Luckily Bolsover will send us some of their labels. I know I can print them off but how long will paper labels last at the airport? Has anyone else not received their brochure or am I just unlucky?

You can find the depressing up information on the P&O website. Try here: https://ask.pocruises.com/resources/car ... sscode.pdf

Individual evenings can be swapped around for operational purposes
