No Katie Price has even more baggage (scuse the pun!) than Camilla.

Hi Tinker,
I don't think there's any chance of me climbing the social ladder having kept company with the likes of Darkpanties and his side kick Stephen for he past 4 years .....but thanks for mentioning my contributions to this furom, perhaps David will now fast track me to the rank of 'Senior first officer' something l think you will agree l thoroughly deserve?
Regards
Keith aka (second officer, steerage class)

Re: Britannia Godmother
As the Royal Yacht Britannia lies in Leith Harbour and Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of England was godmother of Oriana, why not let Queen Elizabeth the 1st of Scotland be godmother of MV Britannia?
If my first choice is not acceptable then I would suggest the First Lady of Scotland Moira Salmond be godmother?

travel scribbler
when you gain independence, you can build your own ship and Mrs Salmon, can be god mother to it, I am sure she would be delighted to be god mother to a rubber dinghy, which is about all you will be able to afford to build, once you leave the bosom of your financial provider

Neither acceptable - not high profile enough for us English. Ashamed to say never followed Scottish history or current affairs blah blah blah .

All hypothetical anyway since if Scotland got her independence we would be looking for somebody British.

Of course the actual naming ceremony will be in 2015 when, if the referendum goes against him, Mr Salmond and his wife will both be consigned to history.

According to a prog on TV last night ... quite good given that he spent an awful lot of time in his local Ladbrokes, allegedlyMervyn and Trish wrote:What are the odds on that?Manoverboard wrote:Perhaps they could open up a betting shopMervyn and Trish wrote:Of course the actual naming ceremony will be in 2015 when, if the referendum goes against him, Mr Salmond and his wife will both be consigned to history.

I hate to worry all you good folk but if he were to leave politics and return to his day job, then you may well have something to worry about. He was formerly a banker. Yes DK it is a “b” not a “wubbleyou”.Mervyn and Trish wrote:Of course the actual naming ceremony will be in 2015 when, if the referendum goes against him, Mr Salmond and his wife will both be consigned to history.

I only said consigned to history. I never mentioned going back to any other job. However the news that he was once a banker may explain his complete lack of understanding of economics and enthusiasm for screwing the UK.ITWA Travel Writer wrote:I hate to worry all you good folk but if he were to leave politics and return to his day job, then you may well have something to worry about. Re: Britannia Godmother
I didn't used to give a toss who the Godmother is / was / would be but when we went on the Adonia Naming Do and it turned out to be ' Our Shirl ' then it made a massive difference to our pseudo cruising experience ... could have had some boring restrained Royal sort instead.

I might put my name forward as Godfather to the ship. I'll make them an offer they can't refuse
